Kernels Host World Series Party On October 29th

Baseball fans, you can watch all the action of game two of the World Series from the comfort of the Kernels Diamond Suites on Thursday, October 29th and admission is FREE! The party starts at 6:00 pm, featuring 16 oz. draft beer for $2.50 as well as other ballpark food for purchase, all from the comfort of the Diamond Suites.

Sit outside and watch the World Series on the Rockwell Collins GameLink LED video board, or from any of the TV's in the Kernels Diamond Suites.

Meet former Cedar Rapids Xavier and current Oakland Athletics outfielder Ryan Sweeney. Ryan will be available to sign autographs from 6:00 until 7:00 pm.

The Kernels will also give fans the first chance to buy 2009 game-worn home jerseys, as they will be on sale in the Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop for $125, plus tax. The remaining jerseys go on sale to the general public at 10 am on Friday, October 30th on a first-come, first-serve basis by calling Scott Wilson at (319) 896-7612 to place your order. Phone ordered jerseys will be $125, plus tax (7%) and a $5 shipping charge. Selected game worn jerseys will be sold on Ebay, starting October 30th with a list and links available at www.kernels.com in the next few days.

Admission to the World Series party is FREE with food and beverage a la carte. Reservations are NOT needed, so bring your family and friends for a great night of World Series baseball on Thursday, October 29th, starting at 6:00 pm.

The Cedar Rapids Kernels open their 9th season in Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 8th at 6:35 pm against the Beloit Snappers.
