
Sharks Recall Forward Frazer McLaren and Reassign Jamie McGinn

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Frazer McLaren from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League. In addition, the team reassigned left wing Jamie McGinn to Worcester.
McLaren spent the 2008-09 season in Worcester, posting eight points (1-78) and 181 penalty minutes in 79 regular season games. In 12 Calder Cup Playoff games for Worcester, he notched five points (1-45) with 50 penalty minutes.
The six-foot-four, 235 pound Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally selected by San Jose in the seventh round (203rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
McGinn played in San Jose's first game of the season at Colorado, posting two shots and two penalty minutes.
He split the 2008-09 season between San Jose and Worcester, posting 30 points in Worcester (19-1130) in 47 games and six points (4-26) in 35 games for San Jose.
