It's Bark in the Park Night! Fans can bring their dogs to SCS and enjoy the game from the left field berm. Tickets for the humans are $5 if you bring your dogs and $2 for the four-legged friends. All the proceeds from the dog admission price will go directly to benefit the Central Brevard Humane Society. Limit of 2 dogs per person.

Saturday, August 22nd vs. Daytona Cubs (7:05pm)

We will have a pre-game Latin Salsa festival in the "No Wake Zone" beginning at 5pm until the beginning of the 'Tees game. Special guest Vera Clemente, wife of Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente, will be throwing out the first pitch.

Sunday, August 23rd vs. Daytona Cubs (7:05pm)

Following the Cubs/Manatees finale, Manatees players and coaches will be at Uno's Chicago Grill on Wickham Rd. to sign autographs and meet fans from around Brevard County. The event runs from 4pm - 6pm (depending when the game ends).

On a side note, I was lucky enough to take Manager Mike Guerrero, Pitching Coach Fred Dabney, Infielders Sergio Miranda and Steffan Wilson to speak to the students at the new Heritage High School in Palm Bay this morning. After a long road trip these four did a great job explaining to kids the importance of education in their lives. We're very fortunate to have such great guys in the clubhouse. Also, if you get a chance to check out Heritage High, do it. It certainly puts my old high school to shame. In fact, it puts my college to shame as well.
