
Drillers Return Home Thursday!

Tulsa Drillers News Release
The Tulsa Drillers will host the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros) and the San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres) in a six-game homestand that will begin on Thursday, July 9 at Drillers Stadium. Tulsa will host Corpus Christi for three games July 9-11, and San Antonio for three games July 12-14.
It will be the final regular season meetings this season between the Drillers and the two South Division clubs. Tulsa has won five of nine meetings with the Hooks this season. Prior to a pair of games in San Antonio, the Drillers were 4-3 against the Missions.
The promotions schedule for the homestand will feature Triple Bobblehead Giveaway #2 on Friday, July 10, Fireworks on Saturday, July 11, Kids Eat Free Sunday on Sunday, July 12 and Ladies Night on Monday, July 13.

ROGERS' RUN: Esmil Rogers continues to strengthen his case for Pitcher of the Year honors. Since May 1, Rogers is 7-1 with a 1.56 ERA. In his last four starts, he is a perfect 4-0 with a 0.93 ERA.
ROSTER UPDATE: Closer Andrew Johnston, who leads the Texas League in saves, has been placed on the disabled list. His spot on the active roster has been taken by Alberto Albuquerque. Albuquerque, a right-handed reliever, was acquired by the Colorado Rockies in a trade with the Chicago Cubs. He was 1-0 with two saves and 44 strikeouts in 34 innings for Class A Daytona this season.
Catcher Dayton Buller was activated from the disabled list, and catcher Jose Gonzalez was returned to Tri-Cities.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Starting with this homestand, the Drillers will play 18 of their next 26 games at Drillers Stadium. From July 9 through August 3, Tulsa will play in only two stadiums - Drillers Stadium and Dickey Stephens Ballpark in North Little Rock.
WEB GEM: Tulsa's Darin Holcomb leads all Texas League third basemen with a .951 fielding percentage. Through 74 games played, Holcomb had only 11 errors in 224 fielding chances. As a team, the Drillers are second in the league with a .975 fielding percentage.
ARM STRENGTH: Anthony Jackson leads all Texas League outfielders with 10 assists this season.
BOBBLEHEAD #2: The bobblehead giveaway on Friday, July 10 will feature three Drillers stars from the 1990s. The trio includes "Pudge" Rodriguez, the future Hall of Fame catcher, Bubba Smith, one of the most popular players in Drillers history and Bobby Jones, the winningest manager in Tulsa baseball history.

It will be a great afternoon at the ballpark as it is a Kids Eat Free Day courtesy of Assurant Health, Borden Dairy and Radio Disney AM 1380.
