Record Breaking Crowd Turns Out For Win

Tri-City Dust Devil fans were excited to see a post-game fireworks show. Instead they were treated to two fireworks shows, one during the game and one after. Tri-City fans enjoyed a crushing 12-0 win over the Boise Hawks and the Dust Devils moved to 12-2 and are on a five-game winning streak. The Dust Devil faithful numbered 3,796, the most ever at Gesa Stadium.
Things started off well for the Dust Devils and starting pitcher Daniel Perkins. Mike Zuanich was hit by a pitch to start the second-inning. Zuanich advanced to second on a ground out by Alvaro Sosa and scored on a fly ball by Alex Feinberg, who advanced to second on a bad throw. Newcomer Nick Valdez drove in Feinberg on a ground ball to center field to make the game 2-0.
The very next inning, the Dust Devils were able to strike again. Shane Lowe singled on a ground ball to center field to start the inning. Lowe then stole second and third bases with Scott Beerer at the plate. Beerer singled to score Lowe to make the game 3-0. After a pitching change, Michael Zuanich and Kevin Clark were walked. The last run of the inning was scored when Alex Feinberg was hit by a pitch, making the game 4-0.
To start the fourth-inning Joey Wong was walked. Tim Wheeler then singled on a line drive to left fielder Cliff Andersen to move Wong to 2nd. A wild pitch allowed both runners to advance. Wong then scored on a past ball and Wheeler scored on a line drive by Beerer. Three more runs were scored in the inning and the Dust Devils went up 9-0. The Dust Devils scored three more runs in the sixth to finish the game.
Feinberg led the charge, going 2-3 with four RBI. Pinch hitter Leonardo Reyes went 2-3 with 4 RBI. Perkins got the win for the Dust Devils.
