Jaxx make roster moves

JACKSON, TENN. (JUNE 28, 2009) - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves affecting the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.

INF Oswaldo Navarro has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma.

The Seattle Mariners have signed INF Jimmy Mojica. Mojica's contract was purchased by the Seattle Mariners from the American Association's Pensacola Pelicans. Mojica becomes the fifth AA player sold to a major league organization since the beginning of the 2009 regular season. One other being Jaxx 2B David Espinosa. Mojica batted .354 with one home run, 18 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 33 games for Pensacola. He was tied for second in the American Association in stolen bases and fifth in batting average. The resident of Leavenworth, KS is now in his fourth season of professional baseball. He has had stints in the Milwaukee Brewers organization with West Virginia in 2007 and Brevard County last year.

Mojica will wear jersey #4.
