Lake Elsinore Storm News Release

Lake Elsinore, CA -The Lake Elsinore Storm are teaming up with Cops for Kids to raise money at tonight's baseball game at The Diamond. The team is scheduled to play host to Manny Ramirez on a rehab stint with the Inland Empire 66ers, the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, during his 50-game suspension from Major League Baseball. Thanks to a capacity crowd that is expected to come see Manny, the Storm will donate a portion of the proceeds to a local organization, Cops for Kids. Headed by the Riverside County Sheriff Department and the Lake Elsinore Police Department, Cops for Kids is a program that helps seniors, children, and families who find themselves in unfortunate situations."We are very excited to showcase The Diamond, the Storm, and the city of Lake Elsinore. It is a great opportunity to bring the Lake Elsinore Storm into the spotlight for Southern California baseball fans," said Lake Elsinore Storm President Dave Oster. Added team General Manager Chris Jones, "We strongly believe in second chances and we are a community-based business that wants to reinforce a positive and uplifting attitude. We thank Manny for helping our organization contribute toward the local Cops for Kids fund."
