Wizards Adam Cristman, Aaron Hohlbein to Participate in 2009 Tour De Forks

Kansas City Wizards forward Adam Cristman and defender Aaron Hohlbein will participate in the 2009 Tour De Forks, an annual fundraiser organized by The Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties (Kansas). Participants will join Cristman and Hohlbein in eating at four of Kansas City's finest restaurants, with proceeds benefiting charitable organizations that focus on improving the quality of life for women, children and families within our communities. The Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties is also conducting a 50/50 raffle during the Wizards next home game, Sunday April 5 at 2 p.m. CT. Half of the money raised will benefit charities supported by the Junior League, while the other half will go to one lucky Wizards fan who enters the raffle. Two different tours are available for Tour De Forks on May 3, and each tour takes approximately three to four hours. Motor coach transportation will be provided to each tour stop.

Seatings: 4:30, 5:25, 6:20 P.M.

First stop: Woodyard BBQ at Boulevard Brewing Company

Second stop: The Capital Grille

Third stop: City Tavern

Fourth stop: Grand Street Café

FOUNTAIN & FREIGHT TOUR

$75 per person

Seatings: 4:50, 5:45, 6:40 P.M.

Park near Vinino, 1320 Grand in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Second stop: Le Fou Frog

Third stop: M & S Grill

Fourth stop: Vinino

An annual fundraiser and tradition since 1992, this premier evening of wonderful food and fun draws on the custom of progressive dinners. A Tour De Forks participant enjoys signature dishes from the finest restaurants in the Kansas City area. The participants choose between two Tours and travels via coach buses to enjoy each of the four courses of the meal.

A Tour De Forks was created as one of the main fundraising events in the community to support the Junior League vision of improving the quality of life for women, children and families in our area. The generosity of Corporate Sponsors enables the Junior League to provide financial assistance to programs in Wyandotte and Johnson counties, such as Sunflower House, Parents as Teachers, Hear to Learn, and Wonderscope Children's Museum.
