Worcester Sharks make several transactions

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Jamie McGinn and goaltender Thomas Greiss from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

McGinn is currently sixth on Worcester with 30 points (19 goals, 11 assists) and 52 penalty minutes in 44 games. He has also added three points (two goals, one assist) in 18 games with San Jose this season.

Greiss has played in 41 games with Worcester this season, posting a 20-18-2 record with a 2.71 goals-against average and an .898 save percentage.

Worcester Sharks sign forward Trent Campbell; Kyle Jones recalled from Phoenix

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has signed forward Trent Campbell from the South Carolina Sting Rays of the ECHL to a player tryout agreement and has recalled rookie goaltender Kyle Jones from the Phoenix Road Runners.

Campbell has recorded 38 points (11-27-38) and 37 penalty minutes and was +22 in 37 games in this, his second professional season with the South Carolina Sting Rays. The 5-foot-10 forward from Beauval, Saskatchewan, also suited up for 17 games with the Portland Pirates this season recording eight points (3-5-8) in 17 games.

Jones, will be making his second trip back to Worcester. The 25-year old rookie began the season with Worcester playing in three games and recording a 1-1-0 record with a 5.20 GAA and a .756 save percentage. Kyle is 6-11-0 with Phoenix with a 3.62 GAA and a .886 save percentage. Jones has won five of his last eight starts in the ECHL.

The Worcester Sharks play six of their next eight games at the DCU Center in Worcester including three games this weekend!

On Friday, the Sharks host the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. on College Night. All student tickets are just $9 and the game will also be shown live on Charter TV-3!
