Hutchings Named To Top Prospects Game

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that Alex Hutchings has been named to the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

The two day affair acts as a showcase for 40 of the top prospects who will be eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Don Cherry and Bobby Orr will be the coaches for the game that takes place in Oshawa; with a skills competition on Tuesday, January 13th and the game to be played on Wednesday, January 14th.

Alex is second in team scoring with 31 points (16g, 15a) in 31 games. He is second on the team with a plus/minus ranking of plus 9.

Alex was ranked as the 22nd best skater in the OHL in the first set of preliminary draft rankings that came out in mid-November. The Colts alternate captain led the team in scoring last season with 54 points in 68 games.
