
Knighthawks Defeat Minnesota 14-10

(Hagersville, Ontario, November 30)... The Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Minnesota Swarm 14-10 today in a National Lacrosse League scrimmage game at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
Rochester played four goalies in the game and veteran Pat O'Toole made the start and helped the Knighthawks to a 3-2 first-quarter lead. Phil Wetherup played the second quarter and Ben VanEvery (third) and Grant Crawley (fourth) played the final two quarters.
Shawn Evans led Rochester with two goals and two assists and Jason Henhawk chipped in two goals. Shawn Williams, Logan Kane, Aaron Wilson and Joel McCready added single goals, while newly signed Rochester native Joe Walters scored his first pair of indoor tallies. Gary Gait also made his Knighthawks debut in the game.
The Knighthawks (1-0) will play the Toronto Rock on Sunday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m. at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. The game is closed to the public. The contest is the second of three scrimmage games this preseason for the Knighthawks.
