Bob Landsee will Return in 2009 as Blizzard Head Coach

The Green Bay Blizzard announced today that Bob Landsee will return in 2009 for his fourth season as Head Coach.

Landsee brings his nearly 65 percent winning percentage (33-21 including playoffs) back to an organization looking to earn their third division championship and a second appearance in an ArenaCup. In 2006, Landsee lead the Blizzard to an East Division and American Conference Championship, along with the organization's frst-ever appearance in an ArenaCup. In 2008, the Blizzard had their best regular season in franchise history with a record of 11-5, earning the Midwest Division Championship.

As a player, Landsee earned All-American and All-Big Ten honors as a guard while playing at University of Wisconsin. Drafted in the 6th round by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1986, he played three seasons in the NFL.

Landsee started his Arena Football coaching career in 1999 (1999-2001) where he was the offensive line coach for the Milwaukee Mustangs of the AFL. Following his three years in Milwaukee, Landsee spent one year with the Toronto Phantoms before coaching one year with the Indiana Firebirds.

Under Landsee's tenure as the Blizzard Head Coach, there have been 27 players who signed contracts with the AFL, NFL or CFL. Former Blizzard players currently in the AFL include Jason Hardee (New York), Antonio Ficklin (New York), Peter Lazarre- Saunders (Columbus), Ronnie Amadi (Columbus), Robert Boss (Chicago), Joe Peters (Chicago), David Crocker (Georgia), Matt Huebner (Georgia), Brent Holmes (Philadelphia), Brett Huyser (Colorado), Whitney Bell (Grand Rapids) and James MacPherson (Grand Rapids). There is a potential for 12-15 more players off the 2008 Blizzard team who will sign AFL contracts this year.

"It is a great passion of mine to coach these young men and put them in situations to strive at the next level," comments Blizzard Head Coach Bob Landsee.

Coach Landsee is also excited about coaching in front of the best fans in Arena Football, the Blizzard 9th Man.

"We truly have some of the most passionate and loudest fans in all of Arena Football," stated Landsee. "We want to fll up the Resch EVERY game in 2009 to make it impossible for opponents to come and play in Green Bay."
