
Elliott recalled to Ottawa, O'Keefe summoned from Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators today recalled goaltender Brian Elliott from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Elliott replaces Martin Gerber, who suffered a pulled leg muscle at practice on Friday.
In five games with the B-Sens this season, Elliott has posted a 3-1-1 record with a 2.10 goals-against-average and a .924 save percentage. He last saw action on Friday, Oct. 24, making 25 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Syracuse Crunch.
Elliott has made one career National Hockey League regular season appearance; stopping 28 of 29 shots while collecting the victory in a 3-1 Ottawa win over the Atlanta Thrashers on Oct. 10, 2007.
The B-Sens followed by recalling goaltender Mitch O'Keefe from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. O'Keefe has started three games for the Jackals this season, going 2-1-0 with a 2.94 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage.
The B-Sens head down I-81 tonight to take on the high octane attack of the Hershey Bears at 7 p.m. Tune into 680 WINR-AM and The Team 1430 WENE-AM at 6:30 p.m. for Countdown to Faceoff with the voice of the B-Sens, Grady Whittenburg.
