Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Stampeders and Roughriders will battle Monday for the fourth and final time of the regular season. The Riders have the edge this season, defeating the Stamps twice in three contests, but a win on Monday would give the Stamps the season series by virtue of points scored.
The Stamps (9-5) are currently tied with the Riders and the BC Lions for first place in the West Division and will play three of their final four regular-season games at McMahon Stadium. Heaing into Monday, the Stamps have won four of their last five games while the Riders have won two of their last five.
2008 Canadian Country Music Association Male Artist of the Year Johnny Reid will perform the national anthem prior to kickoff. He will then play a halftime set from his 2008 CCMA Platinum Selling Canadian Album, Kicking Stones.
The first 5,000 fans through the gates on Monday will get a copy of "Horsepower" the official game-day program of the Calgary Stampeders and the first 1,000 lucky fans will receive red and white pom poms from the Calgary Herald.
Very limited tickets are still available for the game are and fans are encouraged to call the Stampeders Ticket Office at 403.289.0258. The Stamps will return to action only five days later against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
