LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks are seeking offseason interns.
The RiverHawks are looking for enthusiastic individuals in need of experience in professional sports. This is a unique opportunity for the students to gain the needed sales experience to obtain a job in the sports industry once they graduate. The students will receive the proper training involved to give them the best chance to learn and sell tickets. The student will also gain hands on training in many other fields within the organization.
The internship will feature a very flexible schedule that will be based around the intern's school schedule. The ideal schedule will have the intern working two to three days a week, between 10-20 hours, varying week to week.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season in 2009. The RiverHawks will begin their eighth season in May and host the 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game at 7:05 p.m. on July 15.
