Laredo Bucks News Release

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League have announced that Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski is being featured in a PSA to help promote the City of Laredo.

The PSA, which is called "Laredo Pride", has been running on Time Warner Cable since last week, and was shot last month at the Laredo Entertainment Center. It features Ruskowski talking about why the City of Laredo means so much to him, and the residents that live here.

"Laredo is a great place to live and I want to share that with people watching on television", Ruskowski said. "I've been treated like family here for seven years".

The PSA also shows Ruskowski talking about winning the Bucks first CHL Championship at the LEC in front of a sell-out crowd of 8,002 fans, plus 3,000 more watching the game on big screens outside the arena.

"That just shows you what the people of Laredo are like. To support us in those massive numbers that night was unreal", Ruskowski said.

Ruskowski, Pete Astudillo, and Terri McGraw are all featured in three separate PSA's about the City of Laredo, produced by Time Warner Cable's Winston Barber.

The Bucks, who start training camp on October 6th, will open their seventh CHL season at the LEC on October 17th against the Rocky Mountain Rage.

Season ticket prices stayed the same as they were last season, starting at just $34 a month (including playoffs). Call 718-BUCK (2825), or visit the LEC to speak to a Bucks ticket representative.
