Connecticut Whale News Release
HARTFORD, September 12, 2008: Opportunities are still available, for both foursomes and individual golfers, to participate in the Hartford Wolf Pack's annual "Golf Fore Kids" tournament. The event takes place Monday, October 13th at Manchester Country Club in Manchester, CT, and offers sports fans and non-fans alike a chance to assist a great cause. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Children's Cancer Fund at Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC).
All of the Wolf Pack's players, plus the coaching staff of Wolf Pack legend Ken Gernander, former Stanley Cup-winner J.J. Daigneault and long-time New York Ranger insider Pat Boller, will be participating in the tournament, and each foursome will have either a player or a coach playing with them for their 18-hole round. Great prizes will be up for grabs out on the links, and the golf will be followed by a dinner with the team, which will include a silent auction and raffle, featuring more distinctive and valuable items.
To register for the "Golf Fore Kids" tournament, and ensure yourself of an unforgettable day with a dynamic group of some of pro sports' most personable athletes, contact Danielle Nardi in the Wolf Pack office at (860) 246-7825, ext. 350, or e-mail dnardi@xlcenter.com, or contact Robin Vidito at CCMC at (860) 610-5719, or e-mail rvidito@ccmckids.org. The charge to participate is $800 for a foursome and $200 for an individual, and non-golfers who wish to attend the dinner are invited to do so for a donation of $50.
