Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals, proud members of the IHL and AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, announced today that they will be holding open auditions for our mascot, General Rally and National Anthem Singers for the 2008-09 season.

The Generals will be holding auditions for General Rally on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from 10 am until noon and again from 5 pm to 7 pm at Perani Arena and Event Center. Those interested in becoming General Rally should have a valid driver's license, be outgoing, enjoy interacting with large groups of people and be willing to have fun! Each applicant will be required to perform a short skit while in the costume. The ability to skate is an asset, but not necessarily a requirement. This is not a full-time job and those selected will be needed on game nights as well as other appearances in the community.

The Generals will also be holding National Anthem auditions on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 3 pm to 5 pm also at the Perani Arena and Event Center. Each applicant will be required to sing the National Anthem during the audition.

People interested in auditioning to be General Rally or an Anthem Singer need to pre-register by calling Mary Nagy at (810) 742-9422 between 8:30 am and 5 pm or email her at mnagy@flintgenerals.com.
