Hamed Diallo on USL-1 Team of the Week List

Cary, NC (Tuesday, August 26, 2008) - The United Soccer Leagues released the Team of the Week list for week 19 of the 2008 season. Hamed Diallo was named among the best eleven for his exceptional hat-trick against Seattle last Sunday night. This is the 17th time a Carolina RailHawk makes it on the list and the second time for Diallo this season.
"Diallo had a phenomenal game against Seattle," said RailHawks Head Coach Scott Schweitzer. "He is playing great soccer and doing everything we ask of him. He has a bright future with the RailHawks."
On Sunday against the Seattle Sounders, Diallo received a through ball from Martin Nuñez in the 22nd minute and ripped a right footed shot towards the back post beating Seattle goalkeeper Chris Eylander to tie the game up at one goal each. In the 35th minute RailHawks forward Ronald Cerritos initiated the play that would allow Diallo to score the second game of the match. Cerritos found Santiago Fusilier on the right side of the box as Diallo was coming down the left. Fusilier crossed the ball over to Diallo who rammed the ball into the back of the net giving the RailHawks a temporary 2-1 advantage. Diallo's third tally came in the 49th minute when he received a ball from RailHawks captain Frankie Sanfilippo right at the top of the 18 yard box. Diallo found an opening in the bottom left corner of the net and slotted the ball past two defenders and Eylander.
Fans will have a chance to see Hamed Diallo score more goals this week as the RailHawks host the Montreal Impact on Saturday, August 30, at 7:30 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park.
