River City Rascals News Release

O'Fallon, MO - The River City Rascals "pitched in" in the flood damage control efforts Thursday afternoon as three members of the front office staff helped fill sandbags at Winfield High School.

Tammie Hopkins, Steve Brook and Josh Anderson each picked up a shovel and dug in to do their part to help the community.

Both Hopkins and Brook live in the Winfield area which is located about 20 miles north of O'Fallon, but both are out of danger from the flood damage.

"This is my community," Hopkins said. "I know a lot of the people that could be severely effected if the second levy breaks so it was important for me to come and help them."

The first of the two levies that separates the Mississippi River from Highway 79 was breeched last night and relief efforts will be showing up throughout the weekend to help reinforce the second levy.

In Rascal news, country music star Andy Griggs will be performing Thursday night at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. On Saturday, Radio Disney helps the Rascals put on a Hannah Montana night full of look-a-like contests and prizes. The Rascals can be contacted at (636) 240-BATS.
