Ryne Sandberg returns to Cedar Rapids May 5th

January 20, 2008 - Former Chicago Cub and Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg returns for his second season as manager of the Peoria Chiefs and you can watch him in action when the Chiefs visit Veterans Memorial Stadium for the only time in 2008 on May 5-7.
Sandberg's popularity was evident in the MWL last year, with long lines of fans hoping to get an autograph at every Chief road game and Veterans Memorial Stadium was no exception.
Game times are 6:30 pm for May 5 and 6 with May 7 starting at noon.
Individual game tickets for the 2008 season will go on sale Tuesday, March 18 at 10 am. Tickets will be available on-line at www.kernels.com
Remember - this will be the ONLY time that Sandberg and the Chiefs come to Cedar Rapids during the 2008 season, so get your tickets for these games when they go on sale!
