LaCosta and Jarman Sent to Elmira

Syracuse, NY (October 10, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have re-assigned goaltender Dan LaCosta to Elmira. In addition, the Syracuse Crunch announced that they have loaned left wing Kevin Jarman to Elmira.

LaCosta, 21, appeared in 19 games with Syracuse last season, going 5-7-1, with a 2.82 goals against average and .894 save percentage. He also appeared in 10 games for the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL last season, going 3-5-1 with a 3.45 goals against average and .874 save percentage. A native of Labrador City, Newfoundland, LaCosta was selected by Columbus in the 3rd round, 93rd overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Jarman, 22, appeared in 35 games with UMass-Amherst of Hockey East last season, racking up 9 goals, 14 assists and 39 penalty minutes. A native of Aurora, Ontario, Jarman was selected by Columbus in the 4th round, 103rd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
