Falcons Announce Front Office Staff Additions

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have hired Chris Gouzounis as a senior account executive and Angela Bouchard as an administrative assistant effective immediately. The Falcons also announced that Kelly Packard has left the organization to further her education at the University of Florida.

Gouzounis brings more than 30 years of business experience to the Falcons in the areas of sales and marketing, as well as customer service. Gouzounis most recently served as an account executive for Clear Channel Communications providing media sales for five radio stations servicing Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Gouzounis established new accounts and sold media packages for a variety of businesses while with Clear Channel.

"In an effort to continue our growth in the area of ticket package and corporate sales, we have added Chris to our staff because we believe his experience will assist us in achieving our sales goals," said Falcons president and general manager Bruce Landon. "Chris has established himself with some very solid contacts in our marketplace and his sales experience will be very beneficial to our franchise as we continue to prepare for the 2007-08 season."

Prior to joining Clear Channel in January of 2007, Gouzounis received experience in the development, management, operations and risk management of multi-unit restaurant facilities throughout Western MA, including vice president of operations from 1997-2006. The Suffield, CT native also served as regional operations director for J. Alexander's Corporation from 1992-1997.

Bouchard is a 2005 graduate from Springfield Technical Community College in the area of Business Advertising and previously served as a corporate trainer for WILD Enterprises in Hartford, Connecticut. While with WILD Enterprises, Bouchard was responsible for sales, promotions, and business development. Bouchard is also a 2006 graduate from the International Academy of Design and Technology located in Chicago, Illinois in the area of Business Advertising and Design.

"Angela will not only assist with all administrative assistant duties, but she will also be beneficial in the area of group ticket sales this season," said Landon. "Angela will be an asset for us in the area of overseeing our merchandise sales on a weekly basis."

The Falcons are currently accepting deposits on full, half, and 10-game ticket packages for the 2007-08 season, in addition to 40 and 10-Flex Packs. Any individual who purchases a Falcons' ticket package up until opening night is automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to Edmonton, Alberta to see an Edmonton Oilers' regular season game during the 2007-08 season, all expenses paid.
