The Summer's heating up with the Buzz of what's going on in Maywood

MAYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - (May 7th, 2007): The Buzz will kick off it's 2007/2008 campaign with The 2007 Maywood Buzz Memorial Weekend Adult Basketball Tournament starts Friday, May 25 th and runs until May 28th. The first of what is to be many tournaments, camps, leagues and clinics to be hosted by the Maywood Buzz of the ABA at the MAC (Maywood Activity Center) located at 4801 East 58th Street , Maywood, CA 90270.

The games are expected to be off the hoop! The tournament is open to any individual or team that would like to play. The tournament is co-sponsored by HoopLove Hoop Gear and you can visit them at www.hooplove.net. They will be providing tshirts and other items at the event.

"We thought it would be a great idea to see players under ABA Rules. There will be a full service snack bar, DJ, game by game printed stats, and all stats will be posted after the tournament on the Buzz Website www.buzzbasketball.com" stated Buzz GM Burrel Lee III.

The cost for a team is $300 to play in 3 games. The top team in each pool will advance to championship round on Monday.

The team is also looking for individual players to place on two free agent teams. Cost for an individual player is $75.
