RSL to Face Rapids in Las Vegas Preseason Matchup

SALT LAKE CITY (Wednesday, January 10, 2007) - Real Salt Lake announced today they will play a preseason match against Rocky Mountain Cup rivals, Colorado Rapids, to take place on Saturday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. (PT) in Las Vegas, NV. The match will be the final pre-season tune-up prior to RSL's home opener and the start of the 2007 Major League Soccer regular season scheduled for Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m. (MT) against FC Dallas.

"It's been important to reach out to the southern Utah and Nevada soccer communities and playing this game in Las Vegas, will help us to achieve that", said General Manager Steve Pastorino. "With the excitement of the Rocky Mountain Cup, this game will be an opportunity for RSL to prepare for the start of the MLS regular season in the fun Las Vegas atmosphere our fans can enjoy."

The match is part of a triple-header featuring BYU and UNLV Men's and Women's Soccer programs. The matches will be played at Peter Johann Memorial Field located on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with the featured RSL-Colorado match scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
