Tony Farmer joins Tijuana Dragones

January 2, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) Tijuana Dragons

Tony Farmer will be the new coach, and player, for the Tijuana Dragones.

A former NBA player --played for Charlote in 1997-98 season and for Golden State in 1999-2000-- Farmer will be in the bench and ready to play for Tijuana´s next game, that will be at home next thursday against Belingham Slam.

Farmer represents an immediate impact for the Dragones in the Center position, with his 6´10 and 244 lbs presence, plus will fill de vacancy in the coaching chair that Joao da Costa left after his quitting last week.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
