Gladiators' Fife placed on exempt list

Las Vegas, NV, June 18, 2006 - Las Vegas Gladiators quarterbak Jason Fife has been placed on the team's exempt list after agreeing to a contract with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League this week.
Fife (6'4" 225, Oregon) started 11 games at quarterback for Las Vegas as an AFL rookie in 2006. He completed 207 of 357 passes for 2,221 yards and 41 touchdowns, despite throwing 13 interceptions. Fife also led the Gladiators rushing attack, gaining 178 yards on 49 carries with 12 rushing touchdowns.
As a member of the Gladiators' Other League Exempt list, Fife's rights are retained by Las Vegas.
