
New Members Elected to the Great Falls Baseball Club

Two new members have been elected to the Great Falls Baseball Club Board of Directors. Rick Evans and Paul Schmook will each serve a three year term as a Director. Evans, who recently retired as the President of the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce continues to be involved in Chamber activities as well as the Benefis Medical Center Board and Rotary Club. Schmook is the Administrator of the Rocky Mountain Sleep Disorders Center, a member of the Golden Triangle Mental Health Foundation Board, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. In welcoming the new members, Board President Vinney Purpura said, "These gentlemen bring great enthusiasm and business experience to the board, as well as a history and love of the game."
Elected officers for the Baseball Club this year are President, Vinney Purpura, Vice President, Bill Harp, Treasurer, Greg Hagfors and Secretary, Mick Taleff. Board Directors include Kerry Bronson, Debbie Ruggerie, Melissa Widseth, Jeff Knowles and Dale Stoverud.
The Great Falls Baseball Club is a locally owned organization with a current contract with the Chicago White Sox to provide a Rookie League team to Great Falls. Plans are being finalized to bring the Chicago White Sox World Series trophy to Centene Stadium sometime this summer for local baseball fans to enjoy.
