Sam Adams Selected to 2005 NFL Pro BowlDecember 22, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Everett Hawks
Adams will be making his third appearance in the Pro Bowl and first with the Bills, having also represented the AFC and the Baltimore Ravens in 2000 and 2001. Adams has been a dominate stopgap in the middle of the Bills defensive line and has posted 31 tackles, four sacks, and an interception.
Adams father was a guard with the New England Patriots (1972-80) and New Orleans Saints (1981) following a standout career at Prairie View A&M. His mother played basketball at Prairie View A&M. In addition to playing football, Adams was also was a member of the track team at Texas A&M throwing the shot and discus. Adams was named the 1990 Prep Southwest Defensive Player of the Year at Cypress Creek High School in Houston and was also the state's 5A shot put high school champion. He was named the Seahawks Man of the Year in 1998 for his community involvement. Adams and his wife, Erika, have three children Terin, Tea and Sam (Deuce).
