
IceHogs set for three-game weekend at MetroCentre

Rockford, Ill.- As the 2004-05 season takes shape, the Rockford IceHogs will drop the puck against three key opponents this weekend at the Rockford MetroCentre. The IceHogs will battle the Quad City Mallards, Muskegon Fury and Kalamazoo Wings.
On Friday night, the Mallards return to the big orange box in a Western Division showdown to take on the IceHogs for the fourth time this season in Rockford. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. and the first 1,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs Smash Hit Hockey Poster #3 courtesy of Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi, Rockford Register Star and 97 ZOK.
Then on Saturday Muskegon makes its second visit of the season to Rockford, as two of the top teams in the United Hockey League square off at 7:05 p.m. For the first 1,000 fans that enter the arena Saturday, they will receive the 2004-05 Rockford IceHogs team photo from Allegra Printing and Imaging, Pembrook Place and Y-95 FM.
Also on Saturday, don't forget to bring a new teddy bear for the IceHogs Fifth Annual Teddy Bear Toss for charity. After the IceHogs score their first goal against the Fury, fans will throw their teddy bear onto the ice. The bears will then be collected and distributed to local hospitals and to the Mountain of Toys just in time to cheer up some local children for the holidays!
Finally, on Sunday the IceHogs match-up with the Wings for the second time this season in a game that was rescheduled from Sunday, November 28. The puck drops at 3:05 p.m. and Sunday means it's a Family Four Pack Day! Fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, and four soft drinks for only $40.
