
Blue Jays assign Kratz to extended spring training

Manchester, NH - The Toronto Blue Jays have assigned catcher Erik Kratz to extended spring training. The move leaves the New Hampshire Fisher Cats' roster at 23 players.
Kratz appeared in three games with the Fisher Cats. He made his professional pitching debut on April 30 vs Binghamton, allowing the game-winning home run to Mets third baseman David Wright in the 15th inning of a 4-3 Fisher Cat loss.
In two starts behind the plate, Kratz went 2-for-4 with a single and double. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch.
The Fisher Cats begin a nine-game road trip at Reading Thursday night at 6:35pm. Coverage of the game can be heard on the WKXL Fisher Cats Radio Network starting at 6:05pm.
