
Galaxy and Radio Korea announce return for 2004

CARSON, CA (Friday, March 19, 2004) - The Los Angeles Galaxy and Radio Korea 1230 AM have reached an agreement for the station to broadcast ten (10) Galaxy home games as the club's "Official Korean Language Radio Station" during the 2004 MLS season, the club and the station announced today.
The station previously broadcast Galaxy regular season home games during the 2003 season, the first campaign stateside for current Galaxy and former Korea Republic national team defender Hong Myung Bo.
"We are glad to be able to reach the Korean community over the airwaves again in 2004," said Galaxy President/General Manager Doug Hamilton. "They were a valuable part of our Korean outreach a year ago and we look forward to that continuing in 2004."
Anchoring Radio Korea's broadcast team in 2004 will be Andrew Lee, who also served as the play-by-play voice of all Galaxy broadcasts a year ago. As he was in 2003, Lee will be joined in the Radio Korea broadcast booth by Kyung Soo Park.
Radio Korea, the first radio station to target the Korean American community since its launch in 1989, will provide two-hours of game coverage, and a 15-minute pre- and post-game show in each of its ten broadcasts, beginning with the Galaxy's home opener vs. New England Revolution on April 3. The Radio Korea broadcast schedule follows below:
