Ownby goal not enough as Kickers fall at home to Montreal

May 28, 2016 - RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Kickers suffered their first home defeat of 2016 on Saturday night as they lost 2-1 to Montréal FC at City Stadium. The second half of the game saw two penalties, three goals and a red card as Montréal went up by two goals, before Brian Ownby was able to pull one back for the Kickers. May 28, 2016 - Erie, PA - The Erie SeaWolves (19-29) held off the Flying Squirrels (16-32) in the eighth and ninth innings en route to a 4-2 win on Saturday at Jerry Uht Park. Richmond pulled to within two runs in the ninth and managed to bring the tying run to the plate but fell short. The loss snapped the Flying Squirrels four-game winning streak and pulled the SeaWolves even in the series at one game apiece. May 27, 2016 - Erie, PA - The Flying Squirrels (16-31) recovered from an early 3-0 deficit and held on late in a 7-6 victory over Erie (18-29) at Jerry Uht Park on Friday evening. Christian Arroyo collected three hits to help extend the Squirrels winning streak to a season-high four games. Tyler Rogers hurled a scoreless ninth inning and picked up his fourth save of the season. May 26, 2016 - Binghamton, NY -The Flying Squirrels (15-31) turned in their third consecutive win on Thursday morning with a 4-1 victory over the B-Mets (18-27) at NYSEG stadium. The win marks the first time this season that Richmond has won three straight games. The Squirrels have now won five of the last six contests after snapping the 14-game losing streak on Saturday.
