BILOXI, MS - Matt Zultek potted two power play goals and Mike Richard scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the Mississippi Surge defeated the Pensacola Ice Flyers 4-3 in overtime on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Rebernik grabbed a 1-0 lead for Pensacola, making a wraparound move and banking the puck off the left skate of Mississippi goalie Bill Zaniboni and into the net at the 1:56 mark of the first period. At 4:38, Mike Richard scored a goal in his second consecutive game, firing a shot past the blocker of Ice Flyers' netminder Jamie Gilbert. At 9:12 of the first, Lorne Misita tapped home the rebound of a shot from Rob Campbell to give the Ice Flyers a 2-1 lead.

Matt Zultek evened the score at two-apiece, grabbing the puck in the bottom of the right circle with the Surge on a five-on-three power play and launching a shot past Gilbert 11:41 into the second period. At 18:27 of the second, Zultek's 23rd power-play goal of the season gave the Surge a 3-2 lead, as the Windsor, Ont.-native walked off the right wing wall and ripped a shot that rang off both goalposts before crossing the goal line.

Pensacola tied the game at three when Dan Buccella knocked in his own rebound just 1:37 into the third period.

After killing off a late third period Pensacola power play, the Surge gained momentum off of a pair of big saves in overtime by Zaniboni. At the 4:01 mark of the extra session, Mike Richard's shot from the right wing beat Gilbert to give Mississippi the 4-3 victory.
