
Zebic named 15th player on Storm's 08-09 roster

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - The Chicago Storm professional indoor soccer team announces forward Zlatko Zebic as the organization's 15th player to sign for the team's 2008-2009 Xtreme Soccer League season. Per team policy, terms of the agreement are not disclosed.
Zebic, a native of Loznica, Serbia and Montenegro, played with the Rockford Rampage of the American Indoor Soccer League in 2007-2008. He also played for the Storm during the team's second season in 2005-2006. Zebic played in 11 matches, tallying an assist and two blocks.
In his two seasons before the Storm, Zebic played for Pallacanestro Varese in the Italian League. He also played soccer for MFK Kosice in the Slovak Corgon Liga, and BSC Young Boys in the Swiss Axpo Super League. Zebic started his professional career with FK Loznica in Serbia and Montenegro, and also has played for the Serbia and Montenegro National Team.
"Zlatko is an interesting prospect. He came to Chicago with a lot of high hopes and was never really given the opportunity to adjust to the indoor game," Storm head coach Steve Morris said. "Now he's actively involved with the game. He's big, strong and athletic. He has great skill and strikes the ball well with both feet. We're thrilled to have him. He can be an interesting piece."

The Chicago Storm organization enters its fifth season of professional indoor soccer. Chicago is a member of the newly created Xtreme Soccer League, which features the Storm, Detroit Ignition, Milwaukee Wave and New Jersey Ironmen. The Storm's 2008-2009 XSL season kicks off with a road game at New Jersey on Sunday, Dec. 14.
