Dallas Generals News Release
(Dallas - November 4, 2009) This is a call to arms. The Dallas Generals organization firmly believes that if we expect the community to support us, we must show our support for them first. Experience has proven that any successful organization is a success in its own community first. With this in mind, the Dallas Generals from its conception has strived to be active members of the Dallas community in a variety of ways - partnerships, sponsorships, volunteerism and support of non-profit organizations to name a few. We feel these are common practices of any good business, whether it is newly formed or well-established. However, it is our mission to exceed traditional expectations and fully invest ourselves in every aspect of our community. In what has been a giant first step towards achieving this goal, we are proud to announce that over the past few weeks we have made breakthroughs on numerous fronts.
After the initial skepticism of a new ABA expansion team in Dallas subsided, people began taking note of our mission and beliefs; our commitment to professionalism and quality; but most of all, our hopes to provide an experience to the people of Dallas at an affordable price during these difficult economic times. Many Dallas establishments have agreed that such efforts are worth fighting for. With that in mind, new organizations are rarely able to weather the substantial start-up costs without aid from others. The following lists of businesses have already volunteered to put their faith in us as we work together to build a stronger Dallas.

We have also received a healthy number of commitments from the citizens of Dallas who are simply looking to support our organization by attending games. Through purchasing season tickets these individuals have made a commitment to support us from the very beginning. It is appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Thanks to these Dallas area businesses and individuals and their commitment to us, we are now able to begin shifting focus towards fulfilling our commitment to you, the city of Dallas. Yesterday, November 3, 2009, the Dallas Generals took their first steps towards giving back to the community. Through volunteering at the Dallas Life Foundation, an official partner of the Dallas Generals, we are able to take part in fixing one the most relevant issues plaguing our nation today - homelessness. The Dallas Life Foundation takes in those who have fallen on hard times. Whether it's the result of losing their homes or jobs, numerous families are given shelter here. Perhaps most notable is the Dallas Life Foundation's commitment to keeping families united as they are the only shelter in the nation to offer co-ed facilities. Our commitment to the Dallas Life Foundation is merely one of the ways you can expect us to serve our city.
Through our efforts, and the efforts of those involved with us, we will achieve a better Dallas. We thank those that have already volunteered their services. To everyone else, this is your notice. We've drafted you to become a part of the effort towards bettering the community in which we all live. It is our duty to help those less fortunate and support one another. Giving and receiving in all aspects of what we do, we can start to make a difference as we venture together into this inaugural season.
