Xplorers Playoff Drive Update

SOUTHAVEN, Miss – The Memphis Xplorers no longer control their own fate, but still have hopes of making the af2 playoffs for the first time in franchise history. This Saturday night the Xplorers take on the Arkansas Twisters in the final home game of the regular season at the DeSoto Civic Center, located just 15 minutes south of downtown Memphis. With a 51-36 loss to Tennessee Valley this past Saturday the Xplorers lost control of their own destiny in the af2 playoff chase. Three playoff spots in the National Conference have been locked up, leaving three open slots remaining. The Xplorers can finish 8-8 at best in the regular season and can still qualify for the playoffs, but they now need help from other teams. Memphis is currently in a three-way tie for 7th in the National Conference with San Diego holding the tie-breaker over the Xplorers and the Cincinnati Swarm.
