Xplorers Make Final Training Camp Cuts

SOUTHAVEN, Miss â The Memphis Xplorers announced today that they have made their final cuts to pare the roster down to 21 active players for the upcoming season. The Xplorers open the 2003 af2 campaign on April 5th at Columbus, GA. The home opener is April 12th against the Bakersfield Blitz. "This is one of the toughest days I have as a coach," said Xplorers head coach Danton Barto. "We have so many good players in camp it is hard to make these decisions and decide who to let go."
The Xplorers will have several players with local flavor on the roster, including four former University of Memphis Tigers: Jeremy Scruggs, Kevin Cobb, Keith Spann and Kenny Coutain.
