Wyoming Snaps Thunder's Six-Game Winning Streak

CASPER, Wyo. - The Utah Valley Thunder had their six-game winning streak snapped with a 45-28 loss to the Wyoming Cavalry Friday night in American Indoor Football Association action.

With the loss, the Thunder (6-2) fall into second place in AIFA Western Division. Both of their losses this year are to the Cavalry.

The Cavalry (7-1) had six defensive stops en route to the victory. They intercepted Utah Valley quarterback Mike Affleck three times, recovered a fumble, forced a missed field goal and held Utah Valley just before the half after it marched inside the five.

The Thunder trailed 28-13 at the half and trailed by as many as 25 at 38-13 midway through the third quarter.

Utah Valley will look to get back on track next week when they travel to New Mexico Friday, May 15, for a meeting with the Wildcats.
