RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Louis - December 1, 2006 -The RiverCity Rage announced this morning that the team has undergone a change in leadership.

Mike Wyatt, RiverCity Rage Head Football Coach, has resigned his position to accept the position of Head Football Coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Wyatt is coming off the heels of a 14-2 season with the Rage, 33 - 13 overall record, and will inherit a program at OPSU that was 0-11 in 2006 and 1-10 in 2005 under their previous coach. Wyatt's current career record as head coach at all levels of play is 222-77-2.

This will mark Wyatt's second stint with OPSU, as he was an assistant coach in 1979 and 1980 when the Aggies went 7-3 and 9-1, respectively.

Rage Team President Tye Elliott had the following comments; "Coach Wyatt will begin a new chapter in his career, as will the Rage by joining the UIF. We are committed to maintaining excellence in this franchise, and will do everything we can to find the best person to lead us into the future."

"While we hate to lose Coach Wyatt, we are extremely happy for him and the opportunity he has been given. He is a great coach and we know he will do great things at OPSU," said Matt Jones, Rage General Manager. "The search for a replacement will begin immediately." "Finding Coach Wyatt's replacement will be no easy task but this franchise is committed to winning and continuing the strong foundation that Coach Wyatt has built."

"I am grateful to the Rage and its owners, management and staff for the opportunity presented to me here. It is truly one of the class organizations in indoor pro football. I am confident that they will have continued success and I wish nothing but the best for them," said Wyatt.
