"Boom Boom" Sets Sights on Legg Mason
See Oudsema In Qualifying This Weekend
Fresh off his being named WTT Championship Finals MVP in the Kastles' dramatic win on Sunday night, Scott Oudsema has received a wild card invitation to the Legg Mason Tennis Classic qualifying tournament this weekend. The qualifying draw is filled with great players including Donald Young, Vince Spadea, Taylor Dent and local favorite and UVA gradSomdev Devvarman. This is a great opportunity for Kastles fans to see Oudsema again competing against some of the world's best players and supporting him on to victory.
The tournament, located in Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C., is part of the prestigious US Open Series and was recently named one of the top 20 tournaments in the world.
Scott fed off the fan support as the season progressed and played his best tennis in front of the Kastles Stadium crowd. Let's turn out this weekend to support "Boom Boom" and give him a big Kastles boost he needs to advance deep into the tournament.
Scott will play his first-round match Saturday, but his opponent and playing time will not be announced until Friday, so make sure to visit the tournament's website at www.leggmasontennisclassic.com for all of that and other information.
Tickets to Saturday's matches are only $10, with kids 12 and under getting in free. Tickets for Sunday, when the main draw starts play, are just $20. However, as part of the tournament's Family Day package, tickets for a family of four to Sunday's matches purchased by the end of the day today cost just $5 per person. Visit the tournament's website to purchase tickets or call (202) 721-9500 to take advantage of the Family Day promotion.
