Austin Wranglers News Release

LUBBOCK, TEXAS - Wranglers QB Andy Hall threw for 349 yards and five scores as Austin took down the Lubbock Renegades in overtime on Friday night 60-54, at the City Bank Coliseum.

An outstanding performance by the newest Renegades player, DB Darvin Peterson, was not enough to overcome the Wranglers' offensive dominance. Peterson was credited with 17.5 tackles in the contest, a season-high in the af2.

Wranglers' kicker Iizuka Keita booted a 38-yard field goal through the uprights as time expired to send the game into overtime. On their first possession in the extra frame, the Wranglers methodically worked their way downfield, eventually scoring on an Andy Hall TD run. On the ensuing possession, QB Robert Kent scrambled 35 yards on the first play to send the game into sudden death.

Like they had all night, Andy Hall found WR Mel Long in the end zone for the final score of the contest.
