WR Bobby Sippio, DB Travis Coleman Earn Weekly AFL Honors

ORLANDO - Orlando Predators wide receiver Bobby Sippio (6-3, 215, Western Kentucky) and defensive back Travis Coleman (6-0, 190, Hampton) were named Arena Football League weekly award winners following impressive outings on Saturday in Iowa. The Predators won for the fourth time in a row as they trounced the Barnstormers, 77-61.

Sippio was named Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week while Coleman was named the Riddell Defensive Player of the Week. It's the seventh and eight such honors for the Preds this season.

Sippio caught nine passes for 124 yards and six touchdowns in the win. The former Osceola High School standout now has 66 receptions for 815 yards and 20 touchdowns through nine games. He's averaging 90.6 receiving yards per outing on the season.

Coleman registered four tackles, three interceptions and two pass breakups in Week 13. He ranks second on the team in tackles (67.5) and interceptions (7).

The Arena Football League is also awarding the National Guard MVP of the Week on Thursday. Fans will select the winner on Facebook and ArenaFootball.com this week. Candidates include Orlando Predators QB Nick Hill, Chicago WR/DB Vic Hall and New Orleans WR Skyler Green.

Sippio and Coleman join Rayshaun Kizer (Week 3), Robert Quiroga (Week 3), Marlon Moye-Moore (Week 4), Paul Griffin (Week 5), Josh Bush (Week 8) and Hill (Week 10) as weekly award winners in 2011.
