Women's football announce 2006 schedule

The National Women's Football Association, the largest football league in the world for women, has announced the schedule for 2006. This is the 6th season for the NWFA.
The 2006 season, which begins on April 15, will have 33 teams competing against one another. Many of the teams have been in the league for over five years but several new teams will be competing this season. These teams include the Harrisburg Angels and the Shreveport ShockHers. The Tucson Wildfire, The OC Breakers and the Antelope Valley Bombers will be competing in the Western Division only in 2006.
The 2006 World Championship Game will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"We're excited about the upcoming season and look for some great and highly competitive match-ups. We've brought in some new owners and coaches and feel that many of the teams will improve greatly on their past records. We lost several teams to Hurricane Katrina including the New Orleans Blaze and the Gulf Coast Herricanes who will sit this season out due to a variety of reasons," states league CEO.
