Manchester Wolves News Release

The arenafootball2 league office announced today that Connor McCormick has been assigned to the Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional football team.

"Connor is a guy that we looked at last year but had some NFL looks," Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett said. "He's ready to give the af2 a chance and we're happy to have him on our roster."

McCormick (5'10, 195), will compete in March for a roster spot at the kicker position after putting together a complete career (2002-2005) at the University of New Hampshire where he was a four-year starter. The Forty Fort, PA native left his page on the Wildcats' record books as he currently holds; most field goals in a career (40), most field goals in a season (13 - 2004), most extra points in a career (176) and most extra points in a season (67 - 2005).

After graduating from UNH several NFL teams gauged interest in McCormick's kicking talents including; the Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

"I'm really excited about this opportunity," said McCormick, about playing for the Wolves. "It'll be great to kick in New Hampshire again."

McCormick is now the third announced signing for the Manchester Wolves 2007 team, after the additions of OS Jarrail Jackson, and QB Shawn Brady. All three players have ties to the New England area; McCormick ( University of New Hampshire - Durham, NH), Jackson (Assistant Coach at Dartmouth College - Hanover, NH) and Brady (Northeastern University - Boston, MA).

"As a Florida resident I'm use to the University of Florida, Florida State, University of Miami triangle, but I'm quickly finding out that there is a lot of talent from the northeast area as well," added Bennett on his three signings. "They aren't usually as easy to find as the guys from down south, but they're out there, that's for sure."
