Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (25-28-0-6, 56 pts.) moved to within two points of third place in the Northeast Division this past week, by winning two out of three games. The Pack scored their most lopsided victory of the year Friday night at the XL Center against Northeast Division-leading Springfield, downing the Falcons by a score of 6-2. Saturday saw the Wolf Pack eke out a 4-3 win at home over the Albany Devils, but then a Pack comeback from a 3-0 deficit fell short Sunday in Manchester, in a 3-2 loss to the league-leading Monarchs. J.T. Miller keyed the Wolf Pack offense in the three games, rolling up 2-6-8, including a four-point performance (1-3-4) in Saturday's win.

This week:

It's a third straight three-game weekend for the Wolf Pack, starting Friday night at home with an XL Center matchup against the Adirondack Phantoms. That game faces off at 7:00 PM, and then the Pack hit the road for a pair. Albany is the site of a 5:00 game on Saturday, and then the Wolf Pack move on to Providence Sunday for a 3:05 tilt.

Friday, March 14 vs. the Adirondack Phantoms at the XL Center, 7:00 PM

- At this and all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games this year, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at the XL Center through the start of the second period, presented by Marc's Appliance Warehouse, located at 75 Prospect Ave., Hartford, CT.

- "Hawk's Nest" returns to the XL Center's Comcast Coliseum Club for this game, with Bob "Hawk" Crawford, the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, conducting a Wolf Pack-themed interview from 6:00-6:20 PM. Questions and comments will be welcomed from the patrons enjoying the Comcast Coliseum Club's wide array of dining and beverage options. The Comcast Coliseum Club restaurant and bar area is open two hours prior to every Wolf Pack home game, to everyone holding a ticket to the game.

- The Phantoms (24-30-1-3, 52 pts.) will be looking to recover from a 9-3 drubbing they absorbed Sunday in Providence in their last action, the most goals ever allowed in a game in the Phantoms' Adirondack history. The Phantoms trail the fourth-place Wolf Pack by four points in the Northeast Division.

- This is Adirondack's last of five visits on the year to the XL Center. The Wolf Pack have won the last four meetings between the two clubs and are 6-1-0-1 overall in the season series, 3-0-0-1 at home.

- Phantom defenseman Steven Delisle and rookie forward Derek Mathers both scored their first goals of the season in the third period of Sunday's game in Providence.

- For this and all Wolf Pack home games, tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger and are available at the Public Power Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.

- Radio - live with Bob Crawford and Mark Bailey on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.

Saturday, March 15 at the Albany Devils (Times Union Center), 5:00 PM

- This is the last of eight games on the season between the Wolf Pack and their Northeast Division rivals the Devils. The Wolf Pack have won the last two meetings and are now 3-4-0-0 in the series, but Albany has won all three previous get-togethers at the Times Union Center.

- The Devils, who finish a stretch of five straight road games Friday in Springfield, are 1-2-0-2 in their last five outings, after a 4-3 shootout loss Sunday at Worcester. At 30-19-3-7 for 70 points, Albany currently holds down the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

- Albany defenseman Brandon Burlon, who scored for the Devils in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Wolf Pack at the XL Center, has four goals on the season and three of them have come against Hartford.

- Radio - live with Bob Crawford on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.

Sunday, March 16 at the Providence Bruins (Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence), 3:05 PM

- The Wolf Pack are 0-3-0-1 in four previous meetings with the Bruins this year, with a 6-0 loss November 10 and a 3-2 shootout defeat February 16 to show for their two earlier trips to Providence.

- Bruin rookies Seth Griffith (4-1-5) and Alexander Khokhlachev (1-4-5) combined for 10 points in Providence's 9-3 home destruction of Adirondack Sunday, and Tyler Randell had two goals and two assists.

- Sunday's victory over the Phantoms was the Bruins' first regulation win since February 14. Providence had been 4-3-0-1 in eight games prior to Sunday, but all four wins had been in shootouts. The Bruins (32-21-1-7, 72 pts.) enter this week tied with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for fifth place in the Eastern Conference, one point ahead of Binghamton and two points up on Albany.
