Sporting Kansas City News Release

The Kansas City Wizards and Planet Sub announced Wednesday a new program offering discounted meals to Wizards fans after strong offensive performances by Kansas City. If the Wizards score three or more goals in any MLS game home or away, Planet Sub will offer its patrons a 6-inch "Planet Sub sandwich", a chip and a cookie for just $3. Fans must simply ask for the Wizards Hat Trick Special at Kansas City-area Planet Sub locations to receive the discount.

"Planet Sub is proud to be associated with the Kansas City Wizards and OnGoal," Planet Sub co-owner Jeff Klusman said. "They are a first-class organization growing a great sport in the city we love. We look forward to seeing lots of Wizards fans in our stores on the day after MLS games."

The Hat Trick Special takes effect this weekend, starting with Kansas City's match against the Chicago Fire Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. CT on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Español. Should the Wizards score three or more Saturday night, fans will benefit from the Hat Trick Special Sunday at area Planet Sub locations.

Kansas City's next home game comes Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. CT against the New York Red Bulls. The game will mark the first-ever trip for an MLS match to CommunityAmerica Ballpark by ESPN2. The first 5,000 fans into the stadium will receive a Jimmy Conrad bobblehead, and all fans will receive thundersticks, both courtesy of Time Warner Cable. Wizards season ticket holders will also be able to collect their 2009 Kansas City Wizards scarves that were included in each season ticket holder package. A B2 Bomber from Whiteman Air Force Base will fly over the stadium before kickoff, and four racecar drivers including former Indy 500 champion Dan Wheldon will be on hand to sign autographs before the match. To purchase tickets to the match, follow this link, call the Wizards at (913) 387-3400 or go to www.kcwizards.com.
