Winston-Salem Beats Cats, 7-4
Huntsville, AL Â– Winston-Salem took game two of the three game series against the Huntsville Channel Cats with a 7-4 win Friday night in front of 2,582 fans.
Winston-Salem used six goals in the second period to pull away for the win. Jason Sangiuliano scored two goals and one assist, while Dave Vychodil scored two goals. Frantisek Bakrlik scored one goal and had two assists and Dave Lopestri and Chris Seifert each scored a goal. Matt LeFaive added two assists while, Kevin Carr, Marcus Willy, Greg Snitowsky, Seifert, Derek Kern, Jason Silverthorn and Byran LaChappelle all had one assist. Cam McCormick stopped 42 shots for Winston-Salem.
Luke Phillips led the Cats with one goal and one assist, while Mike Degurse, Allan Carr and Dan Buccella all had one goal. Josh Mandel and Dave Cadarette both had two assists, while Jason Greenway, Dan Kletke and James Patterson all had one assist.
Winston-Salem was 2-6 in power plays, while holding the Cats to 0-7.
The same two teams play again tomorrow night at 7:05 at the Von Braun Center.
