Winnipeg Jets Jets Announce 2013 Training Camp Schedule

The Winnipeg Jets today announced the schedule for their 2013 Training Camp prior to the 2013-14 NHL season. Training Camp opens with medicals and physicals on Wednesday, September 11th at MTS Centre. The team's medicals and physicals will be closed to the media. Media availability with players will occur in the Home Team Complex with the time still to be determined. There will be no ice-time scheduled on September 11th.
The Jets will conduct Training Camp at MTS Centre and MTS Iceplex from Wednesday, September 11th to Monday, September 30th. Players will be available to the media at the completion of their entire training day, which consists of their particular group's on-ice session followed by an off-ice workout. Head Coach Claude Noel will be available to the media approximately 20 minutes following the final practice of the day.
Since the duration of each particular session may vary, it is recommended media consult the Winnipeg Jets Media Information Line at 204-926-5588 on a daily basis to confirm practice times and locations.
The Training Camp roster will be distributed following the completion of Winnipeg Jets Rookie Camp. Training Camp sessions held at MTS Centre will not be open to the public; however, the sessions held at MTS Iceplex are free and accessible to the public.
Winnipeg will kick-off the preseason against the Washington Capitals at Yardmen Arena in Belleville as part of the Kraft Hockeyville celebrations in Stirling-Rawdon on Saturday, September 14th. Game time is set at 6:00 p.m. CT. The Jets will then play three consecutive preseason games at MTS Centre against the Ottawa Senators (September 15th), Edmonton Oilers (September 17th) and Minnesota Wild (September 19th). All games will start at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Jets will then travel to Minnesota for a game against the Wild at the Xcel Energy Center on September 21st before taking on Edmonton at Rexall Place on September 23rd. To complete their pre-season schedule, the Jets will play a back-to-back set against the Boston Bruins on September 26th at MTS Centre and then in Saskatoon at the Credit Union Centre on September 27th.
