Wings' Wailes Named National Lacrosse League's Rookie Of The Week
January 18, 2007 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
Philadelphia Wings forward Kyle Wailes was named the NLL's Rookie of the Week for his four-point game against the Portland LumberJax last Saturday. The 6'1", 205-pound forward also recovered six loose balls in the Wings 14-12 loss to the 'Jax.
"Kyle's had two strong games this season and has really helped our presence on the left side," said Wings Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson. "His consistency so far is hopefully a promise of great things to come from him."
Wailes has ten points (5G, 5A) through two games this season and is currently tied for the lead in scoring for the Wings along with seventh-year forward Dan Marohl. Wailes was acquired by the Wings from the Calgary Roughnecks on December 18, 2006 in exchange for the Wings' first pick in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft.
